Main purpose of the job role:
- Manage the Porvair Sciences Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO:9001 accreditation.
- Develop, implement, and oversee process, QA/QC & engineering improvements to drive profitability
- Establish continuous improvement and change control culture across the business
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage the Porvair Sciences QMS in line with ISO:9001 accreditation
- Maintain all relevant QMS documents and procedures compliant with the ISO standard
- Coordinate and manage all audit requirements for the QMS including internal audit schedule, BSI certification/routine audits, supplier audits and customer requested audits
- Manage the Customer Service Query (CSQ) compliant process to ensure all stakeholders are involved and corrective/improvement actions are implemented
- Provide detailed metrics and performance data to management team with associated improvement actions to ensure targets are met
- Line management responsibility for the Quality dept
2. Continuous Improvement:
- Evaluate existing and developing manufacturing processes to identify engineering, QA/QC and operational improvements, including FMEA
- Apply process improvement tools to effect changes & own associated Capex budget
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) process
- Ensure compliance to cGMP standard is implemented and maintained
- Set and achieve improvement targets for production capability, capacity, and profitability o Act as continuous improvement champion for the PSL business
- Work across all stakeholder groups to deliver productivity improvements for the business
Accountable for:
- Compliance of the PSL business to the ISO:9001 standard

Satisfactory resolution of all customer issues & reduction of CSQ targets

Delivery of productivity improvements in line with annual operating plan
Experience Required:

Experience working in a high volume manufacturing business

Managerial experience within the Quality/Continuous Improvement section of a business

Management & inter-personal skills for influencing/driving results in a matrix environment
Essential Qualifications:
- BSc in a scientific or engineering discipline
- Experience within a high volume, multi-disciplined manufacturing environment and 5+ years working in a senior role focussed on quality management, QC and continuous improvement
